Clinical Psychologist

Clannad Counselling & Consulting is excited to be accepting applications for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team in either a full-time or part-time capacity.

The ideal candidate would have professional training and experience as a Registered Psychologist, exceptional clinical skills, and come with a similar relationship-based approach when working with individuals, couples and families. Familiarity or training in Circle of Security would be considered an asset as we often utilize this modality in our day to day clinical approach.

Clinical experience with complex trauma is a valued asset. Potential candidates will fit well with our team, share our vision, possess an openness to collaborative practice, and have a desire to be a part of an innovative practice with an interest in research.

Clinical Social Worker

Location: Kentville NS
32-40 hours / week

Clannad Counselling  Consulting Inc., is a private practice that is founded upon attachment principles that focus on healthy relationships across the life span.  Our clinic is expanding as a centre of excellence in attachment based practices. We provide clinical services for individuals, couples and families through direct  therapeutic services as well as through therapeutic groups and our Equine Supported Wellness programs. We also provide training and workshops to the greater community through a variety of different topics including, attachment, trauma responsive practices, developmental trauma, and compassion fatigue and burnout . We are a growing practice and are looking for a Clinical Social Worker to join our team in a .8 or fulltime capacity.

Qualifications
* registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers in good standing
* Possession of professional liability insurance
* minimum of  2-5 years experience in support individuals, couples, families and teens in a clinical setting
* MSW, RSW
* working knowledge of attachment and trauma responsive practices is an asset (willing to train)

Overview:
As a Clinical Social Worker, you will have the opportunity to provide direct clinical care through a full caseload.  There are opportunities to join our education/training team for community capacity building, or opportunities to join our Equine Supported Wellness team (training required) through our clinical programs. You will have the option to develop and deliver your own therapy groups or other services that align with your skill set and training. Our clinic continues to offer services both in person and through telehealth at this time providing flexibility for your work schedule. We recognize some of the inherent challenges of private practice and therapeutic work without a sense of team and collegial support. That is why we are committed to providing a supportive, warm and encouraging team environment for all of our employees. Our clinic offers in-house case consultations, professional development opportunities , team building, and peer supervision on a regular basis.
